About Cartelle
Define Yourself.
Cartelle draws on the primal roots of jewelry, as a means of expression through adornment. From the far east to modern day pop culture, there is symbolism everywhere. Each piece is uniquely inspired with its own message, and of course the message that you make of it. The aesthetic is clean and simple, stuff you can wear everyday, it's understated - but it in a big way that won't go unnoticed. An affordable price point means you can come back for more!
About Kris
It's always so hard to know where to start talking about yourself, and choosing the things that define you.
I'm a single mom to THE most wonderfully curious and loving little girl,
Lani. Getting to show her the world has taught me to see it in a new
way too. I have learned that more often than not she will unconsciously
do what I do, and rarely listen to what I say - no matter how many
times I say it. That being said, I devote my energy to being the most
awesome person I can be - because that's who I want her to become.
My days center around her, and of course making jewelry. Being a
work-at-home/stay-at-home/single mom is definitely a daily challenge,
but I know how fortunate I am to have been able to spend my days with
her and have a job that inspires me and feeds who I am.
I'm a little bit of a tree hugger, I try to make my life as green as
possible, in fact most of the sterling silver found in my work is
actually recycled!
Eating and staying healthy is important to me, but I've got a killer
sweet tooth that will keep that in check. There is a foodie deep down
inside me that I'm sure will break free soon enough. Macarons, whoopie pies, and bacon sea salt caramels
will be the (sweet) death of me.
I heart all things filled with culture, community, and a sense of
connection to the world and other people. Sometimes I think the world
has gotten too big and far apart, like the culture is fading...
And now to round it out, a short list of things that I'm a total sucker for:
Technology (oooh, touchscreen!)
Rom Coms
Organic Fair Trade Tea
Karma
Compliments
Now you know a little about me, it was so nice to meet you =)
